News about CMMIPM Website Launching Ceremony
On 1st October 2020, the website for Chauba Memorial Manipuri Intellectual Property Museum (CMMIPM) at Moulvibazar, Bangladesh was launched virtually.
H Tonubabu is the founder and director of the museum which was opened on May 7, 2007.
Among others, the programme was attended by H Tonubabu; Ng Uttam Singh, Art and Culture, Director; social and cultural activist, Rakesh Naorem; Manipuri poets Hamom Promud; Sanaton Hamom; AK Seram; Dr Sihab Shahriar; Swapan Nath, Dy Director, NAEM and L Jyanta Singh, convenor Manipuri Cultural Complex Bangladesh.

Among the environment of ethnic and cultural diversity, a unique and natural charming Manipuri village of Songaon (Hamom Khul), is home to a one-of-its-kind called the ”Chauba Memorial Manipuri Intellectual Property Museum“. This museum is dedicated to Hamom Chauba, paying tribute to his contribution towards the social life of Meetei or Manipuri community.
It is a museum of Traditional Cultural Expressions (TCEs) of Manipuri community in Bangladesh. The museum of this kind is the first and only one museum in Bangladesh and abroad. The objective of the museum is to protect intellectual properties rights of Manipuri community.
